Hello and welcome to your first Potions lesson. I will warn you, this will not be your easiest class. In fact, if you aren't good at Chemistry I suggest you leave now.

*Watches as several students get up and leave.*

Now, let's get down to buisness shall we? Many people believe this to be a boring class where all you have to do is work, there is no fun involved. I can assure you that they are wrong. Potions can be a very fun class if you let it and I'll try not to make it too boring for you.

Since this is your first lesson we won't start off with anything too hard. We're going to begin by introducing the contects of that black bag you all have sitting by your feet. Please put it in front of you and take everything out of it.

You should all have at least these required items. Asphodel, Wormwood, a few Beozoar, Wolfbane, Porcupine Quills, Unicorn Horn, Armadillo Bile, and of course all of your herbs. If you have more supplies than this I congradulate you in being so prepared.

We will be making the Caritas Potion today. Please put all of your ingrediants away except for one Bezoar, a Porcupine Quill, and your Asphodel.

Fill your cauldron halfway full with water and let it boil while you prepare the ingrediants.

Finely grind up the Asphodel until you have a powder. Put two grams of this powder into the caulron. The water should turn a potent green if you've done it correctly. Now slowly add the Beozoar. If it fizzes you've done it right. Cut up the Porcupine Quill into small two centimeter pieces and add them one by one into the potion.

Let the cauldron simmer for five minutes. If you've done everything you're supposed to the potion should be red and smell of sulfur. Please put your potion into the vials you see in front of you and store them in the cabinet at the front of the room.

Now comes the fun part, homework.

1.) What other ingrediants do you have in your bag besides the ones I mentioned?

2.) What color was your potion before you added anything to it?

3.) How many ingrediants were used to make this potion?

4.) What is a Bezoar?

5.) Describe the finished product.
