The students clambered into the classroom, glad that they had managed to find their way into the well-hidden classroom. They got to their feet and dusted themselves off. All of them were chattering noisily about the secretive way to enter the class, when a sudden sharp gasp from LunarSoul interrupted them. She was examining the classroom with much interest. The other students started to survey the classroom as well.
It was indeed one of the stranger classes in the school. It wasnt like the other classes where there were just a chalkboard, desks and chairs. The room was small and cosy, and had a warm crimson hue to it. The curtains were all drawn, but there were oddly shaped lamps scattered around, providing just the right amount of light. The flickering fire in the huge fireplace to the right brought the shadows in the room to life. The students' gazes averted to the many shelves by the walls. Old tattered decks of cards, huge dusty volumes of books, murky crystal balls and strange looking golden artifacts adorned the shelves. There were small, low tables surrounded by red and gold cushions in the centre of the room. In the middle of each table was a tall candle. The heavy smell of incense and myrrh were making the students feel drowsy. The students were just wondering where the professor was when a figure stepped out of the flames in the fireplace.

"Welcome to Divination class at Durmstrang Academy. I am Professor passionatexx, your Divination Professor. Before I begin my first lesson of the term, allow me to explain a little about Divination. I will not venture to say that Divination is the hardest of the many different magical arts, but it is indeed difficult as it involves many complicated procedures. Even more difficult if you do not have a strong Sight for the hidden and the unforetold. There's a little bit of Sight in each and every one of us -- there is no wizard or with without it. It's just that some have stronger Sights than others -- these are the ones gifted in the magical branch of Divination. Most think that Divination is a rather inexact and faulty branch of magic, but I assure you there is no truth in that statement. Seers have always been the best wizards around, as their gift of the Inner Eye assists them plentifully in their magic. Why, even Professor Dumbledore of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a Seer himself.
There are many different sections in Divination. Among them are reading omens, astral projection, scrying, fortune telling, predicting and many more. However, we will not venture too far into the deeper shades of Divination this early. So we will start with gypsy fortune telling, which i must admit is rather imprecise sometimes. *winks* but if you do it correctly, they usually produce the most exact results.
Gypsy fortune telling is uncovering the future by doing things like reading tea leaves, palmistry (reading of palms and physique), reading tarot cards and crystal balls. However, today we will be a little in touch with the Astrological side of Divination. Particularly, your Star Signs, also known as the Zodiac. Students, the position of the planets and stars in our native sky tell of our steps in the future and governs our personality. Odd as it sounds, human destiny can be deciphered by the astrological bodies in the skies.

People of a certain Star Sign usually have a certain sort of personality which is shared by people of the same Star Sign. I am not saying that each and every one person of the same Star Sign are identical replicas of each other on the inside. They merely share several different personality traits. For example, Librans are known to be rather stubborn and passionate in nature, and Arians are dynamic people who are good listeners.
I will not stress too much on this topic, for I'd like you to do your own research on Star Signs. It would do no good if I were to s*Censored* feed you with the knowledge. Therefore, for your homework I'd like you to write me an essay on Star Signs."
HOMEWORK.
Write an essay on your Star Sign and your personality. (ie if you're a Libran, you're stubborn and passive etc) Also, write a bit on your Star Sign's symbol (ie if you're a Leo, it's the lion) and how that symbol relates to you. I'd like a detailed essay please, stressing on your personality and how it's related to your Star Sign. You will be graded based on how well written the essay is, and also how interesting it is.
